Global History 9: 1(A-E)
Instructor: Social St.
Welcome to Global History 9R/H!  This year, you will explore the history, cultures, and people of the world from the rise of ancient civilizations to the end of the Age of Absolutism.  We’ll focus on how our world evolved from ancient times to the globally connected world we live in today.  You will have the opportunity to participate in numerous debates, role playing exercises, group activities, and research projects to better enable you to understand the major historical themes and to come to your own conclusions about the lessons of the past.  You will also develop the skills that are essential to academic success: gathering and organizing historical evidence, conducting research, analyzing primary and secondary historical sources, responding to thematic and DBQ (Document Based Question) essay questions, and presenting a persuasive argument.  Get ready for a fun and challenging year.
